Info
Broken Beach or better known as Pasih Uug by local residents, is a 200-meter-high rock
cliff jutting into the ocean. This cliff was exposed to seawater abrasion for centuries,
so a giant cave-like hole naturally formed in the middle. Well, from this hole,
the name Pasih Uug (damaged beach) or Broken Beach emerged and was known by
the public and tourists who came to Nusa Penida.
It is undeniable that Pasih Uug has a very impressive beauty. Once you
arrive at one side of the cliff, you can take pictures with the background,
a wavy cliff below. You can take a different background on each photo you
want. One of the favorite poses of tourists is to be photographed from
behind so that your back can blend with the beauty of the perforated
cliff at the far end.
Even though it is named after the beach, this location does not have white
sand that you use to play or run around. Here stretches steep cliffs that
are very challenging to explore. If you really like adventure, some
locations around Pasih Uug can be used as trekking locations with
rocky terrain that is quite steep. Always be careful when stepping
so as not to fall. Wear comfortable shoes for easy movement.
The hilly areas in this area are mostly grassy and thick green bushes. You can
explore this area after fasting to take pictures with a background of hollow cliffs.
Explore the area from end to end for photo hunting. You can walk around to cross
the coral hole and take pictures next to it.
